Farm Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Animal Husbandry: Assist with the daily care of livestock, including feeding, watering, and monitoring the health and well-being of goats and other farm animals.
• Pasture Management: Support the maintenance and management of pastures, including fencing, planting, and weed control to ensure optimal grazing conditions.
• General Farm Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance of farm facilities, including cleaning barns, repairing equipment, and ensuring all areas are safe and functional.
• Feeding and Nutrition: Prepare and distribute feed, ensuring all animals receive the proper nutrition based on their specific needs.
• Cleaning and Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness in all animal housing areas, ensuring a sanitary environment to prevent the spread of diseases.
• Record Keeping: Assist in keeping accurate records of animal health, feed usage, and pasture conditions.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other farm staff to ensure smooth operations and support in various tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in farm work or animal husbandry is preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of livestock care and pasture management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to learn and take on diverse tasks.
