About the Role:
As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing the real-time operation of the Nigerian electricity grid. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in system operations, grid management, and power system engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the real-time operation and control of the Nigerian electricity grid, ensuring adherence to the Grid Code, with a focus on maintaining the balance between generation and load while operating within safe limits. Develop and implement operational strategies that enhance the reliability and stability of the grid in strict compliance with the Grid Code. Monitor and analyse grid performance data, taking proactive measures to address potential issues, in alignment with the Grid Code requirements. Ensure the grid operates with high reliability and stability, as mandated by the Grid Code, aiming to minimize the risk of outages or blackouts. Develop and implement contingency plans for emergency situations, including grid disturbances, equipment failures, and natural disasters, in accordance with the provisions of the Grid Code. Ensure that all grid operations comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards set by the regulatory bodies. Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in power system planning and operations, registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), or a related certification. Minimum of 15 years of experience in power system operations, grid management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. In-depth knowledge of power systems, grid operations, and electricity market dynamics. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to lead large technical teams.
