Engineer - NSS Network Operations.Network Technologies

Under the Direct Supervision of the BSS & CS Core Supervisor and the Network Operations Manager, to operate and maintain all NSS (core) and BSS nodes: MSCs, MGWs, HLR, BSC, RNC, RBS, NodeB, eNodeB. 

To coordinate with vendors for fault identification and rectification. To generate relevant weekly and monthly reports. To analyze Traffic report in order to identify KPI deviation, traffic load, signaling load and monitors all nodes counters/usage. 

The NSS Engineer:

Follows up open issues related to NSS and BSS operations. Handles Core Network NEs alarms and daily issues. Implements the routes and traffic direction changes after receiving total data from Engineering. Prepares data transcript for implementation and executes the Work orders. Implements International Roaming configurations and testing.  Ensures that complaints from customer care and call centers are promptly taken care of. Identifies problems arising in the course of work, solve routine problems and refer unusual problems to the line manager to deliver the services required by the business. Plans and conducts actions as preventive maintenance schedules to limit to the minimum technical incidents affecting the business. Implements, audits, and maintains security level on network elements conforming to MTN Group Security Policy.  Completes all duties in accordance with appropriate policies and guidelines and identifies opportunities for process improvement where possible.
