Driver

Responsibilities:

• Transport goods and supplies between the supermarket, suppliers, and warehouses.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
• Load and unload merchandise, ensuring that items are handled with care and delivered in perfect condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pick-ups, including receipts, logs, and vehicle maintenance reports.
• Follow assigned routes and time schedules, while complying with traffic rules and safety regulations.
• Assist with stock movement within the supermarket when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with the store manager, logistics team, and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
• Report any delays, accidents, or vehicle malfunctions promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
• Uphold company values, maintain professionalism, and provide courteous service during all interactions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience, preferably in a retail or logistics setting.
• Sound knowledge of local and inter-state road networks and traffic laws.
• Ability to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy items when required.
• Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of reliability, responsibility, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as needed.
