This role ensures that IDS appliances and sensors are effectively installed, monitored, and optimized to support SRAN NetApprove product deployment

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Deploy and configure IDS appliances and sensors in various network segments.
- Integrate IDS with existing security infrastructure (SIEM, firewalls, monitoring systems).
- Conduct network traffic analysis to ensure proper IDS visibility and coverage.
- Maintain documentation for installation, configuration, and operational procedures.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot IDS performance or configuration issues.
- Provide technical training or handover documentation to IT teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent) will be considered a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of IDS/IPS technologies (e.g., Suricata, Snort, Zeek, commercial IDS solutions).
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and common network protocols.
- Knowledge of firewall, VPN, and intrusion prevention technologies.
- Hands-on experience with packet capture and traffic analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems.
- 2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, network security, or related field.
- Prior experience in deploying and managing IDS solutions in enterprise environments.
- Incident response and threat detection experience is a plus.
