Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and result-driven Credit Officer to drive loan acquisition and grow our client base. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying credit-worthy clients, promoting loan products, assessing credit applications, and ensuring prompt disbursement while maintaining portfolio quality.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:·        

  • Conduct field visits, business assessments, and customer verifications to evaluate creditworthiness.
  • Generate quality leads, follow up on prospects, and convert them into active clients.
  • Present credit recommendations to the credit committee for approval.
  • Loan Form Documentation and follow through to disbursement.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and provide excellent post-disbursement support.
  • Rendition of periodic activity reports.
  • Analyze market trends and advise accordingly as part of product improvement.

 

Requirements:

  • Prior field sales experience is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Banking, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in credit sales, micro-lending, or financial services.
  • Strong sales and marketing skills with a proven ability to meet or exceed targets.
  • Good understanding of credit risk assessment and loan documentation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a performance-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with the local market and customer segments is an added advantage
  • Strong, persuasive, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have completed NYSC
