KonetWifi seeks to democratise internet access for all Nigerians. Through a strategic partnership with a global Technology leader, the team will deploy free wifi hotspots across the nation and would in turn securely connect users to carefully curated e-commerce partners who provide lifestyle services to potential users.
The Corporate Sales Lead role would own and drive the revenue objectives of the company through building relationships with strategic partners that would advertise their products and services through the free-wifi platform. The role will help in building the sales engine of the company and onboard high-performing sales associates as required. The role will need to quickly gain a reasonable understanding of our target partners' businesses and establish the most effective way to capture their business and retain them in the long term. The role will also constantly design and improve on our sales objectives to ensure that we are delivering our strategic priorities.
You will build and lead a team of Sales Associates responsible for revenue delivery through the deliberate onboarding of Advertising partners. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement a corporate sales strategy that delivers high sales performance. You will collaborate with our Marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies that will increase our customer base and customer retention. You will lead the identification of emerging markets and ensure that our pricing strategies are competitive and effective.
You have the opportunity to hire, train and expand our team of Sales Associates through coaching and performance evaluation. You will coach them on sales methodology, account management strategy, and ultimately ensure they will be successful now and in the future as they continue to grow in their careers. The Konet Sales team is made of a group of vibrant and intelligent sales enthusiasts across diverse disciplines and professional backgrounds. We are a team of experienced Customer Service Managers, Sales Executives, Tech gurus, Marketing and Advertising experts. Our target customers are innovative and growth driven organizations across all sectors and industries. We form a corporate partnership with them to provide them with advertising support for their products and services. We’re charged with ensuring our corporate partners leverage on our Free-Wifi platform to advertise their product and services and get maximum satisfaction. Ensuring that they record success as a result of using our platform also drives our company’s revenue and growth.

THE SKILL SET
You are currently a senior manager in a structured and functional organization possessing a minimum of 5-year relevant experience in corporate Sales and Marketing.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, sales forecasting & execution, revenue growth, and management of managers/seasoned professionals.
Have a first degree
Should be able to coordinate and manage the sales operations of the company to maximize profit.
Track record of successful collaboration with marketing teams to develop and implement effective strategies.
Manage, mentor, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI target are met.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels
Experience establishing strategic business relationships and comfort selling to the C-suite/executive level.
Strong business sense and Technology industry expertise.
WITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU'LL
Have an in-depth understanding of our organizational structure, business objectives and strategy
Begin to build the structures needed for an effective sales team, create sales decks, create sales operations reporting templates, design sales workflow, design the sales organization etc.
Have a thorough understanding of the product and its numerous keys stakeholders.
Study the market, industry, and competition to understand our product and services inside and out, and understand the core value proposition of our products.
Assume leadership of the sales team and engage with key stakeholders(users, internal team members etc.) to understand their aspirations/objectives and challenges.
Craft sales targets and obtain CEO's sign-off of sales targets.
Schedule and meet with customers and partners to familiarize with them, get to understand their needs, discover opportunities for up-sale and how satisfactory our products and services are to them.
Establish and run weekly team meetings with your direct reports to track and tune results, impact, coaching and improvement
Assess sales performance and identify sales challenges, review the team’s performance.
WITHIN 3-6 MONTHS, YOU'LL
Formulate new marketing modules and strategies to address sales challenges, ensure performance and increase market penetration
develop a process and framework that will allow them to navigate the highly complex process of sales.
Create a framework on how your team will hit and exceed their monthly renewal and upsell goals.
Successfully build sound relationship with the sales team through building and executing training plan for all members of the team
You should also start to assess and evaluate the skills, identify skill gaps so as to determine performance expectations of the team and advise on training towards improvement.
Conduct a sales process audit to ascertain if the current sales process and identify room for improvement
Figure out how to better align the sales process with the actual needs of the customer.
Build a sales knowledge training plan for existing sales executives to improve their general sales and demo skills. You’ll implement the plan but continue to adjust and manage that training moving forward.
Pipeline Management -Evaluate how well deals in the pipeline are progressing. Come up with a game plan for how to help the existing deals progress further, using what you’ve learned about the process, product, and customers.
WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU'LL
Have successfully executed on yearly sales goal.
Cultivate a team of Sales Associates that are consistently closing upsells, renewals and new business, with net retention increasing QoQ.
Be a critical sounding board for marketing and other departments to gain insight into our customer requests and products.
Craft budget for next year.
Review your year with the CEO and plan for your next year.
