Corporate Commercial Lawyer

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including joint venture contracts, service agreements, NDAs, and shareholders’ agreements.
• Provide legal advisory services on corporate governance, business structuring, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Support corporate transactions, including due diligence, mergers & acquisitions, and investments.
• Prepare well-researched legal opinions, compliance reports, and other advisory documents.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure clients remain compliant with statutory obligations.
• Conduct legal research to support internal teams and client advisory needs.
• Manage multiple client matters and deliver services within agreed timelines.
• Collaborate with partners and other practice groups within the firm on cross-functional legal matters.

Requirements:

• LL.B & B.L with a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1).
• 5–6 years post-call experience in corporate/commercial law.
• Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and corporate advisory.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and corporate compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability and the capacity to handle multiple assignments independently.
• High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
