Content and social media manager

Job Summary

The social media and content manager is responsible for planning, creating, editing and publishing content on the websites and social media networks. From creating monthly editorial calendars to using marketing strategies to delivering our client’s brand message in creative ways. Your main responsibility will be owning, managing and implementing the content and social media strategy across the business.

Job Description/Requirements

  RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Developing content for blogs, articles, product descriptions, social media, and the company website. 
  • Use target keywords to write search-engine copy that is optimized for search engines (SEO)  while remaining entertaining and informative
  • Develop related content for multiple platforms, such as websites, email marketing, product  descriptions, videos, and blogs
  • Conducting in-depth research on industry-related topics in order to develop original content.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of key performance indicators (KPIs) to offer suggestions  for improvement 
  • Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of a  website in search results
  • Plan and oversee all organic and paid social campaigns, including partnerships with influencers ∙
  • Engage with brand followers and fans on social channels 
  • Conduct social media listening and social media monitoring using appropriate tools ∙
  • Update and manage social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, SnapChat,  YouTube, etc.) in accordance with the client’s social media strategy 
  • Identify and post news, promotional banners, and seasonal content
  • Design graphics for multiple digital platforms
  • Capture and edit video for quality end-product for use on web and social media
  • Imagine and create web posts that nurture community interaction and conversation
  • Track and report on all social media metrics 
  • Monitor trends in social media tools and applications and facilitate new and alternative ways to  leverage social media activities
  • Manage marketing efforts across social media platforms

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in digital content and social media. 
  • Exemplary writing and editing skills, with an understanding of the special requirements of  writing for the Web, such as the use of keywords, hyperlinks, navigation and the importance of  brevity
  • Experience posting to popular social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat,  YouTube, etc.)
  • Highly motivated & passionate about social trends
  • Good understanding of data analysis and consumer insights
  • Working knowledge of paid social media campaigns
  • Intermediate-level graphics design abilities
  • Exceptional copywriting skills
  • Expertise with using SEO best practices to write creative copy that includes effective keyword  placement
  • Experience using a content management system preferred
  • Experience working on multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills 
  • Great organizational skills and the ability to collate material from multiple sources and produce  web content within tight deadlines
