Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Structural analysis: Designing and assessing a building's structural systems to ensure they are safe, stable, and durable.
• Geotechnical assessment: Testing soil and rock to ensure the foundation is sound and robust.
• Material evaluation: Recommending and evaluating appropriate building and construction materials for the project.
• Project design and planning: Design major civil projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, and infrastructure using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Feasibility studies: Conduct site inspections and perform technical analyses of survey and field data to assess a project's potential environmental impact and overall viability.
• Cost estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Manage project budgets and resources to ensure economic feasibility and stay within financial constraints.
• Regulatory compliance: Ensure that all construction plans and procedures adhere to building codes, safety standards, and other relevant local, provincial, and federal regulations.
• Documentation and reporting: Create and manage technical reports, project proposals, specifications, and contract documents.
• Evaluate tenders from contractors.
• Project management: Develop and monitor construction work schedules and manage project timelines.
  
• Construction supervision: Act as a site or project supervisor to oversee construction activities and ensure work progresses according to plan. This includes conducting quality checks and managing resources.
• Communication and coordination: Liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, architects, contractors, government officials, and internal teams.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive project integration.
• Problem-solving: Address and resolve design, development, or construction issues that arise during a project.
• Troubleshoot and implement creative, cost-effective solutions.

Requirements:

• BSC. B.Eng in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of experience
