We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to oversee and support the execution of minigrid infrastructure projects. The role involves hands-on site supervision, civil construction works, and coordination of field activities to ensure successful project delivery. Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Supervise civil construction activities on project sites
- Oversee site preparation, excavation, casting, and structural works
- Manage contractors and ensure the quality execution of civil works
- Interpret engineering drawings and implement project specifications
- Coordinate with technical and electrical teams on site activities
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and engineering regulations
- Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports
- Monitor material usage and support efficient project delivery
- Support overall project execution from the site perspective
- Site supervision and construction management
- Technical drawing interpretation
- Contractor and project coordination
Requirements:
- Minimum of HND or BSc in Civil Engineering or related field
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or site supervision
- Strong experience in building construction, casting, and infrastructure works
- Experience in minigrid or renewable energy projects is an added advantage
- COREN and/or NEMSA certification is a strong advantage
- Strong leadership and project coordination skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision in field environments
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and safety compliance
- Good reporting and communication
