Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develops processes and procedures to support fiscal responsibility in the areas of accounting, budgeting, and purchasing.
- Ensures accurate records of all accounts payable and member contribution records.
- Ensures all church purchases are procured at the lowest possible prices.
- Submits year-end tax documents to employees, and contractors and distributes member contribution statements.
- Process all invoices, bills, and statements
- Process time cards and expense sheets
- Post accounting transactions to the accounting software
- Provide monthly financial reports for monthly meetings with the C.O.O
- Prepare financial reports for specialized church business meetings (e.g. building meetings) and annual general meetings, as the case may be
- Prepare government forms and remittances such as tax, etc.
- Managing various channels of payment including POS and online giving
- Facilitates the day-to-day business of fiscal responsibility, which includes overseeing the payment of bills, reimbursements, and the issuing of cheques—prepare cheques for signing, have them signed by the respective signing officers, and distribute them to the appropriate people
- Keep current on policies that affect church finances and alert staff
- Oversee the church’s compliance with State & Federal Laws and State & Federal taxes
- Work in conjunction with the C.O.O. to create, manage, and maintain all church policy handbooks. These handbooks will contain all appropriate policies and guidelines and will be made easily available to all staff
- Oversees offering-counting volunteers and ensures adherence to appropriate cash handling policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification of HND in any related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience
- Preferably open to a candidate with ministry experience, pastoral ministry

Remuneration: NGN 150,000
