The ideal candidate will oversee all facets of the company's operations. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that the administrative department, sales, marketing operations, client resources, and other departments work seamlessly together. The Chief Operations Officer will be a creative problem solver with exceptional leadership skills and the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team. It is imperative that the ideal candidate understands the real estate landscape in Nigeria and is great at stakeholder engagement.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including setup and implementation of career development plans for all direct reports and problem resolution.
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
  • Enhance operational procedures, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, and enhanced management reporting.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide regular performance reports to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 7 - 10 years of work experience, with at least 4 years in managerial positions, particularly in operations.
  • Proven experience in the real estate industry is a significant advantage.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance operational efficiency.
