Job Description/Requirements
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and modeling.
- Based on financial analysis and projections, provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including accounting, reporting, tax compliance, and treasury functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and financing strategies to ensure the company’s financial stability.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement internal controls and financial policies to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with legal standards.
- Manage the company’s investment portfolio, with a focus on real estate assets, and assess potential new investment opportunities.
- Lead capital raising initiatives, including debt and equity financing, to support the company’s growth objectives.
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and drive financial performance.
- Serve as a key liaison to the Board of Directors, providing regular updates on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Communicate financial results and strategies to internal and external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and auditors.
- Partner with the CEO and the management team to evaluate and execute strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and expansion projects.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function to support the company’s growth and operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including tax laws, corporate governance standards, and industry-specific requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) is an added advantage.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CFA is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior financial leadership role.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive financial management experience preferably in the real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of real estate finance, including property valuation, and capital markets.
- Proven track record of developing and executing financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, financial analysis tools and software, and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience leading a finance team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and manage complex financial issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
