Cashier/Book-Keeping

Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Accounting Duties:

• Manage daily cash register operations, including balancing cash drawers and preparing deposits.
• Record and reconcile transactions and assist with bookkeeping tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, returns, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with end-of-month accounting processes.

Store Operations:

• Ensure the checkout area is clean and organized.
• Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed.
• Support other store functions and team members as required.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in accounting or finance preferred
• Previous experience in retail or cash handling is a plus.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in using POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
