Job Summary

A Cashier, is responsible for processing cash, debit, credit and check transactions using a cash register or other point-of-sale system. The cashier needs to also ensure proper customer service is rendered to customers at all time.

  • Minimum Qualification:Diploma
  • Experience Level:Entry level
  • Experience Length:1 year

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Collect cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers
  • Make change accurately and efficiently
  • Issue receipts to customers
  • Deal with returns and refunds as necessary
  • Maintain cash control over register drawer and verify amounts are correct
  • Answer customer questions as they arise
  • Calculate customer bills through the cash register
  • Help with other tasks as needed including managing shelves, tracking inventory, and ensuring the office space is clean at all time
