Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) with proven expertise in bidding and tendering processes for an energy services company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, managing tender processes, and ensuring competitive submissions that align with company objectives.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in the energy services sector.
  • Lead the preparation, submission, and management of tenders and proposals, ensuring compliance with client specifications and deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new markets and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with technical, legal, and finance teams to create compelling and competitive proposals.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the bidding process.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations related to tenders.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, tender outcomes, and market analysis.


Requirements:

  • BSc/HND in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development with a focus on bidding and tendering in the energy services sector.
  • Strong understanding of tendering procedures, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance in the energy industry.
  • Proven track record of successful tender submissions and contract awards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
