We have a vacancy for a high-energy and self-motivated Business Development Manager with a co-founder owner attitude to grow our web-based, conversational marketplace business. You should see your role as a true business owner and must be result oriented. The ideal candidate would be fluent in written and spoken English and be social media savvy.

Job Description/Requirements

Role and Responsibilities

·        Manage the growth of our web-based business from grounds up

·        Soliciting suitably qualified experts and consultants globally, to register on website and verifying their qualifications

·        Contacting qualified experts, consultants and clients to establish rapport and close out opportunities.

·        Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.

·        Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.

·        Increasing the value of incumbent service providers, consultants and customers while attracting new ones.

·        Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.

·        Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events as required.

·        Developing quotes and proposals for service providers and customers.

·        Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.

·        Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills.

·        Liase with Technical Consultant to ensure fit-for-purpose website

·        Regularly meet with other members of the team

·        Create strategies to grow subscriber base and web traffic metrics.

·        Harness the power of social media and conferencing to grow the business

·        You should see your role as a true business owner. Your time will not be micromanaged. It is your responsibility to eventually understand and run your business and account for your activities. Self-motivated and results-driven individuals will succeed in this role


Requirements and preferred skills

•             Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.

•             Experience in sales, marketing, IT or related field.

•             Strong communication skills and IT fluency.

•             Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.

•             Excellent organizational skills.

•             Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.

•             Comfortable using a computer for various tasks and Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

•             Previous experience in a Tech-based Start-up will be an advantage
