Erosion control, river, flood and coastal protection works. Surveying and ground modeling. Property/real estate development (Public-Private Partnerships PPPs). Providing complete interior décor/wood-work solutions ranging from manufacturing to distribution and installation of any household/corporate furniture designs. Project management services. Job Description/Requirements


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create proposals to existing clients to improve their business whilst utilizing company services.
  • Provide coaching and training to subordinate team members
  • Generate sales pitches/presentations to clients/in-house team/hierarchy.
  • Brainstorming with in-house team to create new project strategies for clients.
  • Maintaining and finding new sales/client prospects.
  • Managing company and client relationships/expectations.
  • Respond to all issues/client needs with prompt attention.
  • Travel to destinations to best facilitate transactions.
  • Reviewing timeframes and budgets.
  • Arranging business meetings and one-on-one conversations with prospective clients.
  • Source for and attend networking events.
  • Negotiating sales contracts.
  • Provide strategies to trim over-heads and increase profits
  • Preparing sales contracts; following company rules and guidelines.
  • Building trust and long-term relationships with clients/customers.
  • Managing filing records of sales, revenue, invoices and other important data.
  • Making professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cultivating positive interactions and relationships with sales representatives, team leaders, and managers and executives; to evaluate sales strategy and results.
  • Motivate team members to exceed expected results.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain, customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.
  • Collaborating with sales and account teams to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals.
  • Researching the market and industry trends.
  • Any other assigned business/tasks.


Qualifications & Experience

  • A tertiary institution degree (University/Polytechnic) in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing/Sales, Accounting, Environmental Science, Engineering or any Social Sciences or Humanities discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a business development representative, sales executive, client/account service executive, or similar role.
  • A requisite master’s degree or post graduate diploma in Business will be an added advantage.
  • Candidate has to be resident in Port Harcourt.


COMPETENCIES

  • Proven work experience as a business development representative, sales executive, client/account executive, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calling) 
  • Proven sales track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Ability to deliver engaging and winning presentations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • A problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge.
  • Experienced at preparing and presenting quarterly goals and forecasts for existing/future projects.
  • Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets.
  • Eager to expand the company with new sales, clients and territories.
  • Comfortable as both a leader and as a team player.
