Biomedical Technician

 Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and calibration on biomedical equipment.
  
• Repair and troubleshoot malfunctioning devices.
  
• Conduct safety tests to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
  
• Document all maintenance and repair activities.
  
• Train medical staff on the proper use of equipment.
  
• Collaborate with manufacturers for advanced troubleshooting.
  
• Assess equipment for upgrades or replacements.
  
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools.
  
• Ensure all equipment meets regulatory and accreditation standards.
  
• Assist in the installation of new medical devices.
  
• Provide on-call support for emergency repairs.
  
• Update technical knowledge through ongoing education and training.
  
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  
• Keep abreast of new technologies and industry best practices

Requirements:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
  
• OND, alternative certification in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology (Preferred). 
  
• Must have basic knowledge and understanding, and some experience in the electrical field.
  
• Must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and come up with solutions independently.
  
• Own a smartphone/tablet preferred 
  
• Entry-level and willing to train, 40 hours per week.
