We seek to hire an Internal Auditor to lead our internal audit function during our digital transformation, ensuring robust controls across both traditional and innovative banking operations.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Deploy ledger systems for tamper-proof transaction records
- Implement continuous audit monitoring tools for real-time control assessment
- Develop audit protocols for fintech partnerships and digital services
- Conduct surprise cash counts and system audits at agent locations
- Monitor compliance across all operational channels
- Ensure proper segregation of duties in hybrid manual-digital processes
- Audit green lending initiatives and contract financing for CBN compliance
- Review salary advance and housing loan products for regulatory adherence
- Assess risk management effectiveness across all product lines
- Lead quarterly fraud risk assessments and investigations- Prepare comprehensive audit reports for management and regulators
- Maintain audit universe and annual audit plan
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional Certifications:
- ACA in progress or equivalent professional certification
- CISA certification is an advantage
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in financial institution audits
- Experience with both traditional banking and fintech operations
- Proven track record in fraud detection and prevention
- Proficiency in audit software (ACL Analytics, TeamMate+, or similar)
- Knowledge of blockchain technology and digital audit tools
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for microfinance institutions
