Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining optimal stock levels by monitoring inventory usage and replenishment.
- Ensure accurate documentation of materials received, issued, and returned using inventory systems or manual logs.
- Conduct routine physical inventory checks and reconcile with records to identify discrepancies.
Receiving and Dispatching:
- Support in receiving deliveries of raw materials, spare parts, and other supplies, verifying quality and quantity against purchase orders.
- Prepare and dispatch materials to production or other departments based on approved requisitions.
Storage and Organization:
- Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage, deterioration, or loss, adhering to safety and organizational standards.
- Label and organize materials systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
Record-Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, movement, and consumption using inventory management software or logs.
- Assist in preparing periodic reports on stock status, shortages, and excess materials for management review.
Coordination and Compliance:
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials.
- Adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations while handling, storing, and issuing materials.
Operational Support:
- Supervise casual laborers or junior staff involved in-store activities as assigned.
- Handle routine correspondence related to inventory and supplies under the guidance of the Store Officer.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (a diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is an advantage).
- 1–2 years of experience in inventory management or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Excel, Word).
- Good problem-solving skills to address inventory discrepancies or operational challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move moderately heavy materials as required.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
