Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain comprehensive financial records, including accounts, ledgers, journals, and financial statements to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Generate periodic reports for management, highlighting financial performance and variances.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
- Work with the company’s external auditor and tax accountant to prepare and file tax returns (including VAT returns) in compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Handle client and vendor invoices, payments, and accounts.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial statements with company records.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in accountancy, banking and finance, or a related field from an accredited university. Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as ICAN may be an advantage.
- 2 years post NYSC relevant experience in accounting or finance, including familiarity with accounting software and systems.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and record-keeping, invoicing, etc.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
