Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and managing the hotel's overall budget and responsible for encompassing a lot of individual tasks and duties.
  • Tracking of employee expenses through expense claims and company credit card purchase
  • Balance sheet account reviews and reconciliations.
  • Review and process account payable invoices for payment, based on each hotel's forecast
  • Provide accounting insight and review into the annual budget and monthly forecasting processes.
  • Cost reduction and profit maximization
  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements like cash flow statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss sheet
  • Coordinating with all the departments for record keeping and stock taking
  • Provide seamless flow of data and communication across departments, vendors, and revenue streams.
  • Coordinate and analyze with the operational manager on a daily basis
  • Ability to reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies and resolve issues with problematic accounts
  • Taking inventories of purchases, and expenditures for the kitchen budgeting and the bar.
  • Controlling the payroll and ensuring legislation is followed regarding VAT 





Requirements:

  • BSC/HND in Accounting and inventory
  • Accountancy skills, ideally honed in a hospitality environment
  • IT Knowledge, as transactions are usually done through computerized systems, electronic cash tills, and so on.
  • Data processing skills, including spreadsheet packages.
  • Analytical and communication skills
  • Unmatched attention to detail as you will be preparing detailed financial information for senior management
  • Proficiency in accounting software 
  • Accounting organizational skills
  • Knowledge of general business practices
  • Ability to prepare financial statements, and take inventories.
  • Experience in internal auditing 
  • Vast knowledge and experience in Tax management.
