Job Summary

The Accountant Assistant will play a dual role within the Executive Director's Office, providing essential financial management services while also assisting with administrative tasks. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the ED
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting, monitoring expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial records and assist in year-end audits.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for decision-making processes within the Executive Director's Office.
  • Manage invoicing, billing, and payment processing.
  • Manage the Executive Director's calendar, including scheduling and prioritizing appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and materials, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and correspondence.
  • Maintain confidentiality concerning sensitive information and communications.
  • Handle travel arrangements, expenses, and related logistics for the Executive Director.
  • Perform other administrative tasks and duties as assigned.


Requirement:

  • Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven work experience as an accountant.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Analytical skills 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
