Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Manage and record daily financial transactions related to catering sales, vendor payments, and event expenses. 
• Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and monthly/annual financial reports for catering operations. 
• Reconcile accounts, process invoices, and monitor cash flow to ensure financial accuracy. 
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. 
• Utilise accounting software and Excel to analyse financial data and support business decision-making. 

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is almost always the baseline. 
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience 
• Expertise in accounting software is vital. This often means experience with specific platforms like NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks, depending on the size and type of company.
• Strong Excel skills are a must (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.). 
• The amount of relevant experience will dictate the level of the position. 
• A solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is critical.
