Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Monitor cash flow, reconcile bank statements, and manage ledgers
- Ensure timely remittance of taxes, pensions, and other statutory deductions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
- Handle internal and external audit requirements
- Ensure compliance with microfinance banking regulations and internal policies
- Track and report on loan disbursements, repayments, and financial exposures
Requirements:
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience (experience in a microfinance or financial institution is preferred)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or any core banking system)
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, reporting, and reconciliation
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
