Job Summary

As an integral part of ASAP team the Accountant will be responsible for various financial activities, including general ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Record and classify daily financial transactions with precision.
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements following accounting standards.
  • Generate comprehensive financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial accounts.
  • Resolve discrepancies promptly and maintain accurate records.
  • Process and review accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, manage collections, and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor budget variances and provide analysis to support decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
  • Contribute to the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within financial operations.
  • Work collaboratively to streamline financial procedures and enhance efficiency.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience as an accountant or in a related financial role.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.


Remuneration: NGN 140,000
