Course Description

Managing employees is a complex task, requiring a specific, dynamic skillset. Analysis and management of human behaviour is in constant flux; and as a result, educational programmes for HRM professionals constantly grow and evolve. This programme consists of two stages; the EduQual Diploma in Business Management (Human Resource Management) and the Top Up programme. Upon completion, the student will be awarded an MA in Human Resource Management from the University of Northampton. The EduQual Diploma teaches students practical, relevant Strategic HRM knowledge. It lays a strong foundation for the student; providing the skills and knowledge to continue with the second stage of the programme.

The Top-Up programme builds upon what was taught previously, further developing the HRM skills set. Additionally, the programme is designed to broaden your specialist knowledge.

Module synopsis

Stage One: Eduqual Extended Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.

This a SCQF Level 11 (RQF equivalent Level 7) programme. It consists of 5 units, all of which are compulsory as shown:

• Strategic Management
• Strategic Financial Management
• Change Management and Strategic Leadership
• Marketing Management in Practice
Strategic Resource Management in Organisations

Stage Two: MA in Human Resources Management (Top-Up)

You will undergo the "Dissertation and Research Methods*" module through this Top Up programme. Students must submit their dissertation along with the research proposal. This proposal needs to be approved by the supervisor.

Face-to-face workshops

In line with our commitment to enhance our students’ study experience, London School of Marketing is determined to provide as many different learning opportunities to our students as possible.

As a result of our recent student survey, some students have suggested us to arrange supporting face-to-face workshops, to complement their studies with us. These will be provided in addition to the usual personal tutor support provided by our tutor panel. These workshops are suitable to any of our undergraduate or master’s degree students and they are designed to enhance the student’s understanding of research, methodology and other essential study skills.

It is our intention to make these workshops as interactive as possible, with discussion groups, interactive activities and presentations, taking place throughout the workshop. Further, students will have plenty of opportunities to interact with fellow students and discuss and learn from their study experiences as well.

Faculty

These workshops are delivered in London by London School of Marketing’s well-experienced panel of lecturers and students will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in further discussions both during and after the workshops.

Timetable

We have designed six separate workshops – each consist of two full days of attendance in London – to equip students with key study and research skills, that will assist students with the successful completion of their qualifications. There is no order for students complete these workshops and students can all six of them, or chose individual workshops, in accordance with their personal needs.

This MBA is very unique as the modules are broken down into easy to understand lectures which are delivered in an Online learning style of 5 Modules which are fully and constantly accessible for Study purposes over the period of 1 year.

Final Semester

You can only progress with University of Northampton  for the final Semester for the MBA Degree. This final Semester is done on Self Study Modules as you are basically writing your Project and a coursework assignment in this Semester with an option of a workshop in the UK at London School of Marketing (Information on the workshop will be made available on request)

* Bachelors or HND Degree with at least 2 to 3 working years

If you are an OND holder or do not have a Bachelors Degree, then you must have at least 5 years Managerial working experience with the ability to prove same.

Fees can be paid in Installments, but The first Down Payment should be at least 40% and should be made on or before the first installment deadline; while the balance Payment can be made in Monthly or Quarterly Installments.
