Responsibilities

Admission process: Work directly with the directors to promote the

school and increase student numbers

Admission process: Facilitate entrance exams for new students

Admission process: Welcome new students into the school and

ensure parents are aware of all the school amenities

Ensure academic records for all students are well maintained

Promote high academic and personal expectations for all students

Work with the principal to develop and minister system for

monitoring student performance in all subjects

Work with the teacher, principal and guidance counsellor to

resolve student performance issues and follow up to ensure

issues are addressed

Work with the guidance counsellor and principal to Administer

disciplinary measures for students as appropriate after

evidence-based discipline breaches have been observed and due

process followed

Work with the principal and guidance counsellor to enforce

disciplinary boundaries to maintain a positive and safe school

culture

Oversee and administer school policies regarding student conduct

and discipline

Oversee the maintenance of and ensure confidentiality of all

records, conversations, and information regarding each student

Teacher Responsibilities

Develop and administer system to track performance of teachers

in the Secondary School

Administer disciplinary procedures for teachers who fail to meet

performance objectives or are guilty of gross misconduct.

Develop and monitor system for teacher records, performances

and disciplinary procedures (if any)

Inform the principal, guidance counsellor and directors of any

performance issues or gross misconduct by a teacher

School operations

Ensure the smooth operations of the school including making sure

the buildings are well maintained and any areas of concern are

brought to the attention of the principal and directors.

Ensure the secondary school is always clean and presentable by

performing a daily inspection of the grounds, dormitories, canteen,

classrooms etc.

Oversee systems for collecting and tracking data on school

progress toward strategic goals

Be highly present and visible during school hours to monitor

school culture

Organize school events that encourages parent involvement and

showcases the school in a positive light

Encourage a variety of strategies and materials that match the

philosophy of the school and are consistent with research on

learning

Ensure a safe, orderly environment in which students are

responsible for their behavior and which creates high morale

among all stakeholders

Establish a professional rapport with students and with staff that

engenders respect

Adhere to the most stringent ethical and professional standards in

order to serve as a role model for students, school personnel, and

community stakeholders

Assume responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of each

student the school or its grounds

Fostering school image and relationships

Become a point of friendly contact with students, teachers,

parents and community officials

Develop effective presentation skills to compel and influence

students, staff, parents, and the community about issues of

interest to the school

Attend all staff and committee meetings and those meetings that

represent a school-community partnership

Perform any duties as directed by the principal and directors

Oversee the supervision schedule for a safe recreation and play

space for students on school grounds
