Job Summary

The Training Coordinator is responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating, marketing and conducting all training programs at the centre.

Job Description


Map out annual training plans
Design and develop training programs
Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
Market available training to clients and provide necessary information about sessions
Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques
handle logistics for training activities including venues and equipment
Develop schedule to assess training needs
Consult with other trainers, managers, and leadership
Track and compile collected data
Conceptualize training materials based on data and research
Create training strategies, initiatives, and materials
Test and review created materials
Maintain database of all training materials
Conduct training
Monitor, record and evaluate all training sessions
Coordinate and monitor enrollment, schedules, costs, and equipment
Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials
Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training
Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each session
Maintain updated curriculum database and training records

Requirements and Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events
knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
Experience with e-learning platforms
MS Office proficiency
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
Strong communication skills
BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field
Certification from talent and training associations a plus
Minimum of Three (2) years’ previous experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position
