Distribution set up
Identifying and appointing the prospective distributors for his / her territory.
He / She will also be responsible for designing the Beat plans for the distributors in his territory.
Track distributors’ efficiencies and follow up on necessary related actions. Alongside, ensure that all distributor related issues are timely monitored and addressed.
Management Information System (MIS)
The Sales Manager will be required to maintain all the MIS for his/her territory and report the same to the head office/CEO, and on a regular basis.
Will be responsible for achieving the sales target for his/her territory and will lead the process of further breaking down the territory sales target to channels & beats.
He/she will continuously review sales performance of all channels and beats in his territory to ensure achievement of sales targets. Both primary and secondary sales targets will be the responsibility of the Sales Manager.
Will be responsible for hiring and maintaining the territory’s distributor sales force.
Review Sales performances of the sales team and implement relevant training programs for improved performance.
Revenue & profitability
Responsibility for driving sales revenue & profitability.
Developing & Implementing Business Plans.
Driving market share across all channels.
Defines the distribution structure and ensures distribution effectiveness.
Ensures service effectiveness for all channels handled general trade, modern trade, neighborhood stores.
Keeps control over sales and distribution expenses.
Ensures adherence to financial disciplines and controls.
Sales planning and analysis
Forecasts and plans sales
Ensures sales force effectiveness by managing, motivating and developing personnel.
Ensures adherence to norms and discipline in the zone.
Activation & Merchandising
Ensures effective planning and execution of trade promotions and activation plans at regional level.
Ensures effective merchandising plans are formed and executed.
Identifies micro-marketing opportunities and executes the same.
Monthly Balance confirmations from all Credit Customers (modern trade)
Ensure that outstanding is within company norms
5 years’ experience in the field of sales and marketing, 2 years as Area Sales Manager – FMCG
Minimum of a B.Sc./HND in any relevant discipline
Must have a driver’s license and live relative close/ commutable distance to Yaba
(Travel flexibility is a must as successful candidate will travel often)
Competent computer skills especially for MD-Office software
