The Recruitment Coordinator will have a thorough knowledge of recruitment best practices and have innovative ideas. He/ she will be responsible for attracting candidates, screening resumes, scheduling
and conducting interviews and providing support to OPL candidates on their jobs.
Ultimately, this individual should be able to manage the full recruitment cycle and ensure that OPL always meets its clients’ requirements.
3-5 years’ experience working as a recruiter
BSc degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology or relevant field
Excellent communication skills
Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadlines
Solid knowledge of recruiting policies and best practices
Hands on experience with various selection processes like phone interviews and reference checks
Ability to conduct different types of interviews (e.g. structured, competency-based and behavioural)
Familiarity with online recruitment channels
Familiarity with tech enabled business tools e.g. GSuite, etc.
Familiar with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems
The Recruitment Coordinator will be required to do the following:
Gain a comprehensive understanding of each client’s hiring needs and meet their hiring goals and expectations
Write and post job descriptions on career websites, newspapers and universities boards
Build a robust pool of prospective candidates by partnering with universities, employment agencies and internet sites.
Evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters.
Shortlist and schedule interviews for candidates
Conduct phone, Skype and/or in-person interviews
Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires
Facilitate reference checks, background checks and salary negotiations
Prepare new hire paperwork ensuring legislation requirements are met
Maintain information in OPL’s CRM and applicant tracking system
Attend job fairs and career events
Keep abreast of innovative recruiting methods and technology
