  • To deliver the quality performance required for the Company’s Consumer Products to achieve divisional sales to >N5B over the next 3 years while maintaining <5% scrap and <3% customer returns.

Measured Outcomes

  • Lead (from the floor shop) and coordinate Quality department activities with Quality Inspectors to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner and in line with the business plan and objectives at all times
  • Implement enhancements to monitor overall departmental performance 
  • Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output
  • Maintain <5% scrap and <3% customer returns across product portfolio
  • Report all quality alerts and machine related non-conformance/quality issues to relevant leadership to ensure immediate action
  • Maintain calibration logs and hour by hour check sheets for all quality control points on and off the production floor
  • Implement programs (developed in partnership with Human Capital), procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company 
  • Develop and implement procedures to preempt, inspect and report quality assurance issues
  • Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
  • Maintain accurate records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation
  • Implement, monitor and manage safety enhancements across all facilities and shifts including and primarily 5S.

  • Responsible for the creation and accountable for the implementation of the Quality Department’s budget including ensuring that the actual budget does not exceed its allocated budget
  • Manage employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health exercises semi-annually
  • Implement of the performance management system that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs
  • Create labor schedules to ensure optimum staffing levels for speed and efficiency
  • Ensure all employees follow the Company’s health and safety guidelines at all times
  • Ensure that information is recorded and conveyed according to or better than expected standards in terms of completeness, accuracy and compliance
  • Keep all product and company related information confidential

Special Projects

  • Execute special projects or assignments as allocated by management
  • Carry out research and analysis that may be required for such projects
  • Prepare detailed and accurate information for immediate management on projects and any implementation actions
