Responsible for the consistent quality of course content through analyzing, documenting and reviewing all processes involved in course creation

Job Description

The successful candidate will perform the following roles:

  • Conduct quality reviews assuring company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved

  • Serve as the final set of eyes before any new or revised course content is launched

  • Identify and document the current state of quality for all new and existing courses, including: content, style, grammar, consistency, and accuracy

  • Review courses and content to ensure features and interactions are working per narration, timing of animations are in sync, and buttons or actions are working properly (as designed) in order to facilitate learning

  • Review chapter-end quizzes and final exams for content accuracy and ensure that they meet regulatory requirements

  • Review course content generated for compliance with the Nigerian Education system and curriculum, and terms of service; markup quality issues; appropriate placement; and other requirements

  • Work with content development stakeholders to obtain necessary, final review sign-offs to ensure organizational accountability for quality

  • Work with the Academics and Product & Innovation leadership to establish ongoing course audits as needed or dictated by student feedback and/or faculty input

  • Content Development including updating of online course content

  • Keep accurate and detailed files for assigned course components and development, including content validation, Word documents, PDFs, etc.

  • Audit content development process to identify areas for continued quality improvement

  • Assist Instructional Designers and other teams in the creation of courses or editing of documents

  • Collaborating and planning with the Instructional Design team and other departments to meet project deliverables

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate quality review activities

  • Maintain test-related project documentation & reports

  • Any other duties as assigned


 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Superior communication skills - written and verbal

  • Excellent English grammar, spelling, punctuation, usage, technical writing

  • A strong collaborative mindset with proven ability to work in project teams

  • Previous course content editing experience and experience working with Learning Management Systems

  • Ability to understand and explain technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical people

  • Self-motivated, an autonomous problem solver, and works well under limited or no supervision

  • Production of well-formatted and well-presented documents

  • Self-starter - motivated and innovative

  • Sufficient manual dexterity for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment.

  • Experience with Articulate and other instructional design software a plus.

  • Bachelor Degree in English, Technical Writing or a related discipline, or equivalent experience

  • 2-4 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance role

  • Strong knowledge of QA concepts, methodologies, tools, and processes
