Job Description

Reports to: Regional Project Lead

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and coordinate all project plans and deliverables.
  • Interpret project contracts and scope of work to align with clients’ expectation and project deliverables
  • Coordinate and communicate to all stakeholders agreed project plans and deliverables to ensure alignment with all parties involved
  • Work with SMEs to develop project deliverables and manage assessments
  • Manage time and resources within agreed project plans and delivery schedules 
  • Ensure efficient utilization of all required personnel, budgets and resources 
  • to meet the expected project schedules, budgets and standards.
  • Manage day-to-day project activities including management of client and company relationships to ensure project goals and objectives are fully met.
  • Liaise with the project administration to ensure timely invoicing, submission and payment of invoices within agreed timelines
  • Provide training on project implementation tool as required for the success of a project 
  • Manage project budgets and ensure that cost projections and targets are not exceeded during project implementation.
  • Interface with IT for software deployments and other client requirements for project tool enhancements.
  • Ensure reports are prepared and received by all stakeholders based on agreed schedules
  • Provide support to clients throughout and after project 
  • Make recommendations to management on possible sales leads detected during or after execution of projects.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with clients and team members. 
  • Passionately promote other company’s products and services in the course of project and sniff out sales opportunities with clients and prospects.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must be a mature person aged 32years and above 
  • Minimum education qualification is a university degree preferably a technical degree
  • 7-10 years of cognate experience in technical project management jobs or web-based implementations. 
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems, programmes and strong knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel), Web 2.0; SaaS/Cloud and SQL will be a plus.
  • Project Management experience is ideal (a formal qualification with demonstrable competence is preferred)
  • Knowledge of Waterfall/Agile is an advantage
  • Candidate must have the ability to work within a multi-discipline and multi-national team, and demonstrate good team working skills
  • Must be Self-motivated, decisive, committed and persistent to achieve project results
  • Must be a fast learner and have ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Adaptable and amenable to changing work schedule according to clients ‘needs.
  • Project Management experience is ideal (a formal qualification with demonstrable competence is preferred)
  • Knowledge and cognate experience in the Oil and Gas sector for not less than 3 years is an advantage.
  • Excellent management skills with acute financial awareness
  • Excellent communication and time management skills with internal/ external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Understanding of the software issues and business risks associated with similar projects in the region especially Nigeria
