Job Description

  • Making improvements to, and offering advice about, operational procedures
  • Prepare scheduled and necessary updates of construction activities and analysis of manpower and equipment required
  • Inform all supervisors and the managing director promptly of any project schedule changes, and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
  • Maintain budgetary, scheduling, and project database oversight, and report regularly to the technical lead to keep him/her constantly informed of job progress, plans and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules
  • Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications
  • Ensuring that equipment/Pumps works to its specification
  • Creating and carrying out test procedures
  • Investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faults
  • Troubleshooting
  • Liaising with other installation/project engineers
  • Supervising engineering and technical staff
  • Writing reports and documentation
  • Providing technical support
  • Ensuring safe working conditions
  • Training maintenance and operative staff where appropriate

Requirements:
  • HND, B.Eng., BSc in Electrical / Electronic or Electro-Mechanical Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering
  • 5 - 7 Years work experience in a reputable manufacturing organization or a facility management company, Building services companies, Engineering Contractors and M&E consultancies
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office – MS: Project/Words/Excel/Outlook/powerpoint/AutoCAD,
  • Mathematics literate and capable of reading engineering drawings and schemes
  • Exposure to marketing and spare parts administration is an advantage
  • Ability to work to deadlines and good time management skills
  • Perform varied work tasks at one time and stay on top of all
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the business
  • Pro-active, attention to detail and solution-oriented
  • Experience in building and testing of control panels & instrumentation is an added advantage
