Job Description

Freedom Foundation is an NGO working to rehabilitate, educate and empower persons who abuse drugs or who have been victims of sexual abuse/violence or trafficked. We are currently seeking a qualified, creative, dynamic and passionate individual to fill the role of the Program Director (Male Rehab Center).

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and evaluate risks to the program: people (clients, staff, management, and volunteers), property, finances, goodwill, and image; and implement measures to control risks.
  • Ensure all staff and program services are in compliance with legal and ethical standards as set by local regulatory agencies, HOF standards and international best practices.
  • Evaluate clients on or before admission and design appropriate treatment procedures, set individual objectives regarding rehabilitation.
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure adequate funding for the operations of the program
  • Develop and recommend service operating & capital budgets and Monitor expenditures to compliance with approved budgetary constraints.
  • Prepare and submit monthly performance achievement report based on established goal(s) and objectives to the Executive Director / Board of Directors
  • Track progress of clients to ensure coordinated implementation of treatment plans and service utilization. Ensure delivery of counseling services to the clients; whereby they have an enhanced understanding of themselves in relation to their issues
  • Liaise with clients’ facilitators and families to ensure a conducive (supportive) environments for the clients upon graduation and ensure graduate have mentors.
  • Oversee group therapy family counseling and ensure client placement in supportive environments following their rehabilitation treatment.
  • Establish a network agencies, programs and medical facilities in this field to widen service provision and ensure continuity in type and level of client care.
  • Provide supervision, crisis intervention, case conferencing and support to program staff.
  • Liaise with all the medical consultants involved in treatment to ensure the sound rehabilitation and recovery of clients.
  • In collaboration with the HR Manager and Coordinating Manager, recruit, and conduct performance appraisal for program staff and recommend trainings for staff and ensure on-going professional development for program staff.
Job Requirement:
The ideal candidate should have;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Non-profit Faith Based Organization.
  • Minimum of 5 years Supervisory experience
  • Good knowledge of Multiple Grant Management
  • Experience in Grants writing a plus
  • Master’s Degree in Health-related field / Public Health or Public Administration/Management.
  • 5 years in Program Management / Implementation preferably in the non-governmental sector related; Substance abuse,addiction or disorders Management
