Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field preferred

Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems

Minimum of Four  (4) years previous experience as procurement officer or related position

Proficient computer and IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and Internet browsers

Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

Ability to negotiate, establishes, and administers contracts

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multitask, prioritizes, and manages time efficiently

Accurate and precise attention to detail

Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels

Goal-oriented, organized team player

A degree of literacy, numeracy and computer literacy

Experience of procurement led activities i.e. tender process, supplier relationships, contract management

Experience of tracking and dealing with enquiries and working to deadlines

Experience of planning, organizing and prioritizing workload

Responsibilities:

Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases

Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers

Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment

Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data

Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options

Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies

Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts

Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality

Maintain and update list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development

Work with technical and operations team members and Directors Operations and Services to complete duties as needed

Must be detail-oriented, thorough, and organized procurement officer to oversee purchases and develop new contracts. 

Play a key role in procuring high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for the organization. 

You will follow procurement procedures, maintain an updated list of current and incoming inventory, and be responsible for first vetting of purchases before final approval.

Expected to maintain records of all executed jobs with detailed information for accuracy including documentation of Job completion certificates and job order.

Preparing of Purchase Order and follow up until job delivered.

Carry out market and pricing survey

Establish direct link with dealer and manufacturer

Follow up with payment for suppliers as at when due

Any other duties assigned

Provide a strategic, efficient and flexible procurement service which will deliver optimum value for money, cost savings and best quality of service

Advise and support management staff and supplier relationships helping to drive better procurement practice

Support the company in procurement activities such as the tender process, supplier relationships and contract management for goods and services

Assist in the development of internal procedures and documentation in relation to procurement and as directed.

Assist in managing commercial and reputational risks in   its relations with external suppliers

Assist with the purchases and order enquiries

Ensure purchases are properly approved in terms of the company’s authority hierarchy.


Salary: 100k-140000
