Job Summary

A Procurement Officer with relevant working experience. Candidate should be computer proficient and have a sound relevant knowledge in general procurement operations, including but not limited to negotiating experience, strong analytical/critical thinking skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, while being able to work in a team. An excellent knowledge of spreadsheets, Microsoft Excel, software usage and a degree in supply chain management will be added advantages.

Job Summary:

  • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
  • Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
  • Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
  • Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
  • Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
  • Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
  • Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
  • Maintain and update the list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
  • Developing standards of procedure, reports and documents containing actionable recommendations with metrics for evaluating an organization’s performance
  • Weekly Academic Learning activities limited to the scope of practice
