Role Summary


Responsible for the development and operations of LPG facilities and services in Nigeria, building up, leading and ensuring profitable operation with a motivated staff. The Operation Manager will be responsible for the P&L of the Company and is accountable to deliver results as per pre-set targets. 


Duties and responsibilities:


  • Develop, present and implement annual business strategy plan plans in alignment with Board’s objectives
  • Ensure that the all the departments have clear responsibilities, staffing and management
  • Focus on operational activities to ensure a consistently safe, trained and motivated workforce
  • Follow-up on all Projects and communicate with all involved stakeholders to ensure successful and timely delivery
  • Ensure that up to date procedures guiding the operation of LPG are in place and followed
  • Ensure adequate controls are in place to protect the company and the customers from financial/reputation loss
  • Proactively build and maintain constructive relationships with all key stakeholders in the LPG Industry
  • Ensure that LPG delivers value-adding benefits that would meet and exceed customers' diverse specific business needs
  • Employ marketing tools and sales processes to innovate and find new opportunities to maximize LPG volume and profitability.
  • Build strong and effective customer bonds through positive interaction and tactful negotiation
  • Develop staff through training, performance management and career development using evaluation process, review process and other resources available
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across all aspects of the pipeline operations
  • Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met


Skills and Qualifications:

• Preferred 10 years and above in the Petroleum Industry, preferably in LPG
• Minimum 5 years’ LPG Terminal Operations Management experience, preferably in African countries
• Experience in directing the commissioning of LPG import terminals, storage, pipeline and distribution (truck loading

Accredited undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline (Civil or Mechanical preferred but will consider other relevant technical disciplines)
