Job Description

  • To identify and process all training needs alongside with the ABM (Admin/Business Development Manager) promptly and undertake them at the appropriate time.
  • The OPM maintains the Security Operations Manual up to date for use by all on site security personnel to cover duties, individual instructions for each post; attendance; use of security equipment; dress standard; training etc.
  • Ensure that the appropriate level of training is provided for all security operatives on use of technical equipment and routine security duties. Ensure that the impacted knowledge in guards are tested periodically.
  • The Operation Manager also will serve as liaison with local law enforcement agencies to assist investigations of accidents, thefts, and property loss.
  • Operation Manager in conjunction with the Admin/Business Development Manager will recruit, select, orientate, train, develop and retain security personnel and coordinate work schedules of all security personnel and ensures that each Operative member is treated with dignity and respect; provides performance feedback, supports Guards as appropriate in carrying out their respective responsibilities in collaboration with HR Department
  • The Operation Manager is responsible for advising and counseling management on their compliance posture to all division and corporate standards.
  • Coordinates and performs Security Risk Reviews of client facilities using industry best practices and client-specific assessment tools
  • The OPM and ABM shall meets regularly with client and management representatives for reviews; addresse any actual or potential problems; provide support during client start-ups and transitions; support security planning, assessments and surveys
  •  Serve as a first-line contact person, after the sign-on of the clients by the Business Development Department, headed by the ABM. This is to ensure the delivery of high quality customer service for all beats; evaluates service quality and initiates any necessary communication and/or corrective action in a timely manner. 
  • To assist in providing leadership to the company by assisting the ED/CEO and the General Manager
  • To  supervise the activities of the Assistant Operations Manager and Coordinators through daily reports, surprise inspection of their beats, regular operational meetings etc
  • To recommend the promotion or firing of guards to the General Manager
  • To assist the General Manager in coordinating a relationship with Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, SSS, Local Police
  • Attend monthly meetings organized by the Association of Private Security Guards in Rivers State alongside the General Manager
  • To coordinate and implement Beat Patrols
  • Ensure regular inspections to monitor compliance.
  • To raise procurement requisition for operational items such as uniforms and kitting gear etc.
  • To harness the Coordinators weekly beats report and submit a comprehensive activity report to the General Manager on weekly basis.
  • Carry out such other duties as may be assigned by the General Manager and the  Executive Director
