Job Summary

Logistics manager oversee the movement, distribution and warehousing in an organization. He controls the flow of incoming jobs and outgoing ones to ensure customers receive goods on time. Logistics managers oversee inventory control, material handling, customer service, transportation and planning workers. Managers prepare worker schedules and ensure warehousing workers follows the rules adequately. The manager prepares reports for upper managements and work to improve the efficiency of the company’s efficiency.

Job Description


  • Coordinate, plan and supervise truck loading operations at the various terminals

  • Ensure preloading and terminal exit document are processed and up to date

  • Ensure prompt availability of trucks and drivers adhere to safety procedure and standard on offloading, speed, driving, parking, etc.

  • Monitor and track movement of all deliveries to transit terminals or warehouse

  • Coordinate and Plan return and prompt delivery of empties giving daily update

  • Ensure onward loading at transit terminals within the grace period of 5 days

  • Ensure delivery documents are properly filed Keep organized records of trucks, schedules, and completed orders

  • Managing LASTMA, Task force, unions, Police, Road safety, Drivers

  • Responsible for the formulation of strategy and framework for the effective delivery

  • Drive the development and cultivation of positive business relationships with the company's logistics suppliers and vendors

  • Develop long, medium- and short-term plans for the Logistics team in line with the strategic objectives of the company

  • Responsible for budgeting and management of the logistics department

  • Prepare and present monthly/quarterly performance reports.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry.

  • Solid understanding of logistics.

  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
