We are currently recruiting for the position of Investment Operations Manager

Job Description

  • Manage the daily operations including Investment Funds
  • Arrangement of Account opening/closure and maintenance of authorized signatories for the custodian account where appropriate.
  • To conduct all the operational activities related to investment with a prime focus on the execution of trade and its settlement that comprises decisions made by the committees and to ensure that they are being executed properly
  • To coordinate the implementation of subscribing to, redeeming and transferring the interests among the investment-related decisions
  • To assist in negotiating and drafting of letters with the underlying portfolio managers
  • To monitor continuously to ensure that there is complete compliance with the internal trading procedures and policies
  • To understand the terms and conditions of the underlying hedge fund investments and to review and analyze the related documentation with respect to areas of subscribing, redeeming, understanding, and executing the investment-related decision
  • Managing relationships with the external fund managers from an operational perspective comprising custodians, administrators, investment managers, and service providers
  • Conducting operational due diligence of existing and prospective customers
  • Assisting with legal negotiations & contracting between the firm and counterparts
  • Providing administrative, technical, monitoring, assessment, reporting and operational support for portfolio management, performance, valuation, liquidity and risk systems
  • To ensure that the database has been updated to describe the key provisions that will aid in taking better investment decision
  • Monitor to ensure tasks completeness by the end of the day for the team.
  • Regularly review the workflows for driving process improvement for the team
  • Manage the team to meet the pre-defined productivity and KPI target.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation
  • To be eligible for this position, the individual should have completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Degree in, finance, Economics, Accounting. 
  • A strong academic background combined with experience in financial services would prove to be an advantage.
  • Excellent Investment Products knowledge with 5 years of hands-on experience
  • Professional expertise gained in Asset Management, Fund-of-Funds, Fund Administration, Investment Consultancy and/or Fund Accounting; Audit, Operations & Technology experience would be highly valued
  • Associate of stockbrokers
  • Experience in People management
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirement for investment products
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Good command of both spoken and written English
  • Good communication, meticulous and detail-oriented, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
