A manager is required to head operations for an emerging mechanical /electrical engineering company.
The candidate does not have to be an engineer (it’s an advantage though) but must have great numeracy skills, be comfortable with numbers, must have excellent proposal writing skills.
The position is structured such that apart from basic pay, a share of profits on transactions and operations will immediately accrue, plus the possibility of future shareholding in the business.
Candidate must have experience in tendering for work or projects (engineering or otherwise), being comfortable with reading long documents and populating detailed bills of quantities.
Candidate must be outgoing with a network of his own and the ability and demeanour to follow up and market aggressively for work as business development will be a key part of the work scope.
Candidate will have more or less a free hand to develop the company, introduce new ideas, build a brand and exercise all the powers of ownership.
Candidate should have a good foundation for managing people, managing business and an appreciation of structure and procedure.
Good knowledge of IT to include Microsoft office with particular proficiency in excel, extensive knowledge of social media and also exposure to rudimentary office/business management software.
Most of all candidate should be a self-motivator, hardworking and committed person with a desire to achieve, He /she must be very self-confident and able to present well, interact with clients at the highest levels, with a high level of proficiency in speaking and writing.
Candidate should be a minimum of thirty and a maximum of 38 years old with at least 8 years working experience in a structured organization.
Any candidate that does not meet ALL of these criteria need not apply.
Basic pay and benefits are a company car, up to N350k per month, data and voice allowances and tools.
Others are a profit share on every transaction and also performance bonuses
