Job Summary

Our client is a major player in the ICT industry, providing enterprise business solutions to clients in the public and private sectors. To further enhance its business, the client is in search of Head Business Development. The person will increase business opportunities for the organization and develop strategies that will enhance the smooth running of the organization, business development, and sustainable growth. The primary objective of this role is to grow the revenue base of the organization and ensure profitability.

Job Description

  • Identify new business opportunities for the company and converting it to sales in order to ensure a continued increase in revenue and sustainable growth.
  • Perform market research and identify market trends in order to facilitate feasibility studies and strategic development.
  • Innovate and create new ideas using information and communication technology.
  • Study clients’ needs and analyze business requirements to design solutions and services that meet demand and create value for the company. 
  • Communicate customer requirements to the Software/ICT team and work with them to ensure that products are delivered to customer requirements and in line with agreed terms
  • Develop technical and financial proposals that meet specified requirements and lead to new businesses. Ensure all statutory documents and compliance certificates are duly updated and preserved.
  • Prepare annual revenue projects and set new objectives to achieve business growth and profitability in a timely manner
  • Lead research for products and service improvements, prepare business intelligence reports, and present innovative solutions to develop new business lines
  • Develop, manage and sustain business relationships that are critical to the growth and development of the company.
  • Prepare weekly reports on business development activities and advice Management accordingly
  • 5 years’ experience in Business Development within the ICT industry
  • Cognate experience in marketing ICT infrastructure and solutions to public and private sector clients.
  • Knowledge in ICT, Software and Hardware application is required
  • Excellent proposal and report writing skills
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proactive and results-oriented.
  • Project Management certification is an added advantage
  • Related ICT certification is an added advantage
