Job Summary

Will be responsible for the organization’s funding strategy and long-term financial security, with the primary goal of ensuring financial success. The role will collaborate with the Executive Management team to analyze department finances and develop budgets that will keep the company’s costs down and profits up. This may involve advising on investments, savings, pensions or insurance products.

Job Description


Responsibilities:

Performing a variety of advance analyses to monitor and report financial health of the company, to namely:

Determine present and forecast financial health of the company

Research and report on factors influencing business performance

Monitor and interpret cash flows and predict future trends

Use financial modeling to provide, simulate and interpret financial scenarios

Formulating strategic and long-term business plans

Managing the company’s diverse budgets,

Keep client focus and reconciliation of bills, Trips and strategies accordingly

Present potential scenarios and outcomes to management team with understanding of haulage operations

Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organizational financial document from potential clients

Collaborate with Executive Management non development and execution of funding strategies if applicable

Develop or recommend solutions for problems or situations and financial mechanisms that minimize financial risk

Managing a company’s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems in line with global fleet management.

Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable principles.

Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations

Strong communication and presentation skills


Skills required

Minimum Competencies Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required (MBA is preferred)

Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a financial management position

Proven strategic planning experience at the management level

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Proficient use of Financial Software

Member of professional accountancy associations i.e. Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), (Association of International Accountants (AIA) will be preferred)

Demonstrated and proven creative and critical thinking skills
