Job Description

Role Overview:
Finance Manager plans the deployment of the financial resources of the company and is responsible for the planning, implementation and execution of the budget while also supporting the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow for consistent superior decision making.

Mission: 
To become a key player in the growth of Consumer Products divisional sales to N5B over the next three years.

Key Deliverables
  • Measured Outcomes
  • Must be able to produce IFRS monthly quarterly and annual financial statements including income statement, balance sheet and cash-flow statement
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information within 5 business days after month end
  • Submit weekly reporting to management and providing advice how the company and future business decisions might be impacted by 7pm every Friday
  • Review, monitor and manage budgets on a weekly basis and submit budget reporting to Executive Chairman by 7pm every Friday
  • Ensure that Field Sales team generates, qualifies and quantifies 25 new sales leads weekly and communicate the same to Executive Chairman no later than Friday by Developing strategies that work to minimize financial risk
  • Must submit all weekly sales data to Executive Chairman no later than Friday by 8:00pm every week
  • Ensure that no customer is over their credit limit or beyond their credit terms unless written approval is provided by Finance
  • Ensure that information is recorded and conveyed according to or better than expected standards in terms of completeness, accuracy and compliance
  • Must consistently produce financial information for management devoid of errors

General Expectations
  • Must recruit and retain “A” players in Finance/Admin Department
  • Keep all product and company related information confidential
  • Must collect, interpret and reviewing financial information
  • Predict future financial trends and analyze market trends and competitors
  • Evaluate optional plans by identifying outcomes and potential returns
  • Build financial database by identifying sources of information; assembling, verifying, and backing up data
  • Recommend financial actions by assessing options in relation to organizational goals
  • Exhibit increasing technical knowledge as measure by management
  • Must be punctual to all scheduled meetings
  • Must be able to prepare and defend actual budget versus target weekly
  • Seek opportunities to provide assistance to other staff and management team
  • members whenever possible
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of company policy, procedures and culture protocols

Special Projects
  • Execute special projects or assignments as allocated by management
  • Carry out research and analysis that may be required for such projects
  • Prepare detailed and accurate information for immediate management on projects and any implementation actions
