We are looking for a temp Clerical officer to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks.
Accounting Clerk responsibilities include keeping sorting out of receipts, ensuring appropriate filing of documents, picking up of bank statements from the banks. You will also run accounting software programs (e.g. Sage Accounting) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. A successful accounting assistant should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers.
Ultimately, a successful Accounting Clerk will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.
Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department
Typing accurately, preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records
Making required photocopies and scanning of documents
Sorting, arranging, filing, printing, photocopying and scanning of documents.
Competency in MS Office specifically Excel, databases, and accounting software
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers
Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
Data entry and word processing skills
Familiarity with booking and basic accounting procedures is an added bonus.
Experience working with Accounting Software like Sage Accounting, Quick Books etc is an added bonus.
OND minimum certificate
Associate degree or relevant certification is a plus
Should live in Gbagada and its environs.
