DESCRIPTION

We are a UK Media company with an office in Abuja. We are currently expanding and are looking for at least 2 top-class editors to join our team; up to 5 if we identify the talent.

Initially, all roles will be on a work from home basis for a probationary process. We are in the early stages of building a branch network around Nigeria, including Abuja, Lagos, Enugu, Port Harcourt and Ibadan.  You can read more about us here- on the DailyPosts UK website.

The Role

The role involves editing content that is going directly to marketing companies in the UK, US, and Australia. We produce blogs, press releases, guides, website content and business profiles; so knowledge of web content is essential. You will be rewriting content that does not flow, editing and proofing against client briefs. It is a thorough editing process, so you need to enjoy the process of reconstructing sentences and enhancing language. The content is for an overseas market, so you will need to understand a bit about life in the UK and US to do well in this role. Having studied abroad would be a distinct advantage.

You will need to get through a large volume of work daily- upwards of 25000 words on an average day. Work hard; earn well!

The role is Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, with 2 additional Saturdays per month.

We are looking for candidates who want to build a career with a UK company. Opportunities for travel to the UK for training may be available, as well as to our IT office in Mauritius. You must have flawless English grammar, be able to quickly understand instructions, and make content speak to the reader. International exposure in the UK and/or the US is a distinct advantage. If you studied abroad even better!

The Salary

Our top editors earn between N200,000 and N350,000, depending on experience and ability. We pay salary by bank transfer in Naira monthly. We are looking to attract top talent; hardworking, knowledgeable, talented people. The harder you work, the more we will be able to pay. Having no commute is a big advantage as you can work 2 or 3 shifts a day with breaks in between to stay fresh.
